FBI Visiting Gun Shops to Investigate “People Talking About Big Government”

If you see some Middle Eastern guy come in, you don’t have to be so worried about that. What we’re really looking for are people talking about being sovereign such as sovereign citizens or people talking about big government,” the agent reportedly stated.
Before the agent left the store, he handed the employee a flyer which lists paying with cash, buying in bulk, along with other seemingly innocuous behavior as suspicious activity.

The same FBI that ignored warnings about the Tsarnev Brothers and the first Fort Hood shooter is not ignoring the "threat" of people that just want to be left alone. Any of these SOBs question you, don't say a thing. You have no legal obligation to do so. You have no legal obligation to consent to a search. You have no legal obligation to give up your private property to them.

No-Win Scenarios

From The Captain's Journal (a radio host, not the captain)

Well, Andy, with a handful of minutes to spare, I have complied with your law.
Your hateful, unconstitutional affront to my rights.

After a year of thinking it over, of going back and forth, of deciding where duty and honor called me to be, this is where I am.

I am ashamed to say that fear was one of the factors in my decision. I am a public person, it is well known that I own an AR-15. I wrote a newspaper column about it when I bought it 20 years ago. I have talked about it on the radio, on television and in web broadcasts ever since.

Further, I’ve got a Democrat district attorney – whose election I opposed – and half the cops in town hate me. So if I don’t register today, there’s a good chance I get arrested tomorrow.

And with five kids still at home, I can’t afford to be the test case.

I’d be a felon, I’d lose my job, I’d lose my house, I’d lose my right to vote and own guns.

And you’d win.

The radio host says he will draw the line at confiscation. But when they start doing that, they will have set the terms of engagement simply by knowing who has the guns.

The regime is very good at giving the impression of a no-win scenario. This illusion is not just their greatest strength, it is their only strength. The solution: don't believe in a no-win scenario.

The Startfleet Academy made the Kobayashi Maru on the belief that cadets would attack the problem head on, fighting on the developers's terms of engagement. Kirk changed the terms of engagement in a way not even his best friend (Spock, who conceptualized it) could foresee.

Our enemies in the real world believe that everyone will cower under threats, or fight under their terms of engagement (fighting a minority resistance in isolated pockets). The regime is no doubt changing their strategy (which will have to be large scale) after the united front they met at Bundy's Ranch, but there is always a way to win.

Harry Reid calls Bundy supporters "Domestic Terrorists"

From Infowars.

During a ‘Hashtags & Headlines’ event at the Paris Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Reid referred to Bundy supporters as “Nothing more than domestic terrorists,” adding, “I repeat: what happened there was domestic terrorism.”

Harry Reid, you need to gaze at yoursself in the mirror. You are the terrorist. Terrorism is using fear to push a political agenda. Your attempt to intimidate a family failed miserably.

Law Flows From The Barrel Of A Gun

The assault on Cliven Bundy's ranch, the assault on the Branch Dividian compound, and the assault on the Weaver's property are extreme examples of a situation that is so common we all experience it. Every law is enforced through the threat of violence.

Don't obey the law, then you get arrested or pay a fine. Those who refuse are either fired at on the spot, tased (those who have heart conditions are at extreme risk from electrocution), or a team of mall ninjas armed with weapons of war bust into their home at night, generally trigger happy enough to fire at anyone even remotely perceived as a "threat." Even minor infractions are ultimately backed up by a class of people whose sole job is to inflict harm on whatever is deemed to be a "threat," whether that "threat" is an unarmed elderly, or a small dog, or a real criminal.

What is law exactly? It is supposed to be a code of conduct to ensure civilized discourse in a group of people, so that no one may be deprived of rights, property or their own bodies. Today, that is called natural law.

Unfortunately, the term "law" can be rationalized to mean anything, just as "freedom" is. Think about it: many on the left see freedom as freedom from debt, poverty, uncertainty, and ultimately responsibility. Well, law has been twisted the same way. Instead of being a neutral set of rules, it has become the lethal enforcement of a group's moral view. The prevailing moral view around the world is that everyone's behavior must be regulated, and their property annexed (wealth is property too) to serve a common good. This view is not just restricted to Marxism. Fascists believe the state comes first. The majority of Muslims believe Allah comes first. Across the political spectrum are those who would censor the arts, believing that "decency" comes first.

This social contract fails because not everyone has equal needs and not everyone is altruistic. Unfortunately, this fact is not lost on those who believe that the common good comes first, and the solution is to use violence. Ranchers and "sustainable" power require a lot of space. Solar power, as feeable as it is compared to more traditional power, brings in more revenue than a single family ranch. From the view of the environmentalists, the Earth has more rights than people. So the troops march in.

Even natural law needs to be enforced from the barrel of a gun. That is why we have a 2nd Amendment. The only question is, are we so indoctrinated into servitude that we won't use it? The ending of the siege on Bundy's ranch gives hope that we are not.

Heavy Metal Monday

Harry Reid: "It's not over."

The harder their jackboots stomp, the more the ice cracks beneath their feet. There's a lot of cold water down below.

Captain America: Winter Soldier

I went and saw this movie after seeing the praise by libertarians over the theme of out of control government. That theme is very strong in this movie, with the majority of SHIELD personnel turning on Steve Rogers (Captain America) and Natasha Romanoff (Black Widow) when they discover a surveillance drag net eerily similar to the one revealed by Edward Snowden (there is more to the villain's plot than just surveillance, but I do not want to post spoilers). Yet this does not displace the characters as many political films do; their pasts, flaws, motivations and struggles are told well enough that it could have stood on its own.

Natasha finally gets more than just a small role as well.

I am truly surprised Hollywood even greenlighted this movie.

Clive Bundy wins, BLM retreats

The good news is here. This was just a battle though. The regime is still waging a war. A cold war, but as demonstrated by this standoff, can very easily go hot.

More on the BLM-Harry Reid Connection

Kit Daniels
Infowars.com
April 11, 2014
The Bureau of Land Management, whose director was Sen. Harry Reid’s (D-Nev.) former senior adviser, has purged documents from its web site stating that the agency wants Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy’s cattle off of the land his family has worked for over 140 years in order to make way for solar panel power stations.
The first segment of the document pulled by the feds from BLM.gov.

Deleted from BLM.gov but reposted for posterity by the Free Republic, the BLM document entitled “Cattle Trespass Impacts” directly states that Bundy’s cattle “impacts” solar development, more specifically the construction of “utility-scale solar power generation facilities” on “public lands.”
“Non-Governmental Organizations have expressed concern that the regional mitigation strategy for the Dry Lake Solar Energy Zone utilizes Gold Butte as the location for offsite mitigation for impacts from solar development, and that those restoration activities are not durable with the presence of trespass cattle,” the document states.

Another BLM report entitled Regional Mitigation Strategy for the Dry Lake Solar Energy Zone (BLM Technical Note 444) reveals that Bundy’s land in question is within the “Dry Lake Solar Energy Zone and surrounding area” which is part of a broad U.S. Department of Energy program for “Solar Energy Development in Six Southwestern States” on land “managed” by BLM.
“In 2012, the BLM and the U.S. Department of Energy published the Final Programmatic Environmental Impact Statement (PEIS) for Solar Energy Development in Six Southwestern States,” the report reads. “The Final Solar Programmatic Environmental Impact Statement assessed the impact of utility-scale solar energy development on public lands in the six southwestern states of Arizona, California, Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico, and Utah.”

Dana Loesch: The Real Story Behind The Bundy Ranch Harrassment

By now you’re familiar with the standoff between the federal government, i.e. the Bureau of Land Management, and 67 year-old rancher Cliven Bundy. (If not, check the backstory and my radio interview with him here.) The BLM asserts their power through the expressed desire to protect the endangered desert tortoise, a tortoise so “endangered” that their population can no longer be contained by the refuge constructed for them so the government is closing it and euthanizing over a thousand tortoises. The tortoises, the excuse that BLM has given for violating claims to easements and running all but one lone rancher out of southern Nevada, is doing fine. In fact, the tortoise has lived in harmony with cattle in the Gold Butte, Clark County Nevada for over a hundred years, or as long as Cliven Bundy’s family has lived on the land as ranchers. In fact, the real threat to it is urbanization, not cattle.

A tortoise isn’t the reason why BLM is harassing a 67 year-old rancher. They want his land. The tortoise wasn’t of concern when Harry Reid worked BLM to literally change the boundaries of the tortoise’s habitat to accommodate the development of his top donor, Harvey Whittemore. Whittemore was convicted of illegal campaign contributions to Senator Reid. Reid’s former senior adviser is now the head of BLM. Reid is accused of using the new BLM chief as a puppet to control Nevada land (already over 84% of which is owned by the federal government) and pay back special interests. BLM has proven that they’ve a situational concern for the desert tortoise as they’ve had no problem waiving their rules concerning wind or solar power development. Clearly these developments have vastly affected a tortoise habitat more than a century-old, quasi-homesteading grazing area. If only Clive Bundy were a big Reid donor.

Militias are moving in to support the Bundies.

Depending on where this goes, I guess we will see whether those billions of rounds of government ammunition are used.
